Our Ainslie Heritage project wins two HIA awards

Congratulations to Mic and the team from Vision Building Group for winning two categories in the 2018 ACT HIA for our Ainslie Heritage cottage project.

Mic’s team brilliantly executed my design vision for the Jewelry Box cottage project in Ainslie.   I invested 260 hours and over 6 months into this project so yep, I am claiming my little piece of this award with Mic and the team.  Mic was the first to say it was team effort.    My busy client knew what look she wanted but needed me for  my  understanding and appreciation of classic details and the time to wrangle the original floor plan to create flow and ensure that the pretty design elements weren’t missed.

Mic was great to work with, checking in with me and our client all the way to ensure details weren’t missed and that our vision was executed.   Brilliant tradesman included Rob’s team from Fusion painting whose workmanship on this project shines, my curtain installer exclaimed “Best paintwork I’ve ever seen!” . Mic’s skillful carpenters beautifully crafted all those door headings from my drawings and I can’t believe how great the tiler was.  The award was well deserved.
