Custom upholstery
More often than not we are working with sofa and chair manufacturers where we can supply our own fabric selection for the upholstery this allows us to select the perfect fabric from our wide range of fabric vendors to create a unique look for our clients.
White price
When we are working with sofa and chair suppliers they will give us a price called white price that includes the chair frame plus all the labour to complete the upholstery. We can then work out what a chair will cost by adding the cost of any given fabric we choose, this allows us to work our fabric selections to our budget.
Ready Made
Ready made upholstered items are usually referring to sofas, chairs and bed heads etc. or they can be ready made soft furnishings such as cushions, throws sheets etc. These are usually a fully imported product that are readily in stock as they are premade in a fabric selected by the supplier, ready made upholstery is often neutral. Joinery
We define joinery as furniture that is built in to the home. For example your kitchen joinery is furniture that is built in, a Wall to wall book case that is built in. These days joinery is much simpler and usually consists of joining up components.
Cabinet maker / Furniture maker
If we require “joinery” that has more detail and must looks and feels more like a piece of furniture we will work with a cabinet maker. Working with a cabinet maker allows us to introduce a wider variety of shapes and detailing and specialist finishes.
