Deakin classic kitchen

The motivation:

Our clients had not long returned home to Australia to settle after years of overseas postings, their newly purchased home was nearly ideal but presented the challenge of a dark and dated kitchen, it felt like a cave.   As a keen baker and home cook it was important to provide an enjoyable creative space that also accommodated visits by the grandkids.  Our well travelled lady of the house  loved design books and interiors magazines and was looking for a classically style kitchen like those she’d been been enjoying overseas.

The fix:

The challenge was to create a classically proportioned kitchen whilst working with many angles and within the foot print of the old kitchen to preserve the existing flooring.

Our joinery designs included furniture style detailing which required a skilled cabinet maker as opposed to standard joiner.  Classic joinery combined with imported hardware from the USA and crystal light fittings results in a timeless quality that is authentic classic Hamptons style.

We hid LED strip lighting within the upper trim work to ensured that the new kitchen is a bright functional space.
